the best place to start. Includes shtetl finding
information, Jewishgen Family Finder (a way to connect
with others looking for the same name), and the Family
Tree of the Jewish People (which only includes trees
that have been uploaded to the Jewishgen site).
Jewish Timeline from the Mining Co. -- this now
takes you to the main Judaism page for About.com (which
bought Mining Co. years ago). The Jewish Timeline is
still there, buried under Jewish History. (new

Yad Vashem Pages of
Testimony -- The easiest way to
search is to use the
Advanced Search Page . There are tons of names from
Vladimirets -- make sure you check the Synonyms box to
get all the variant spellings. It seems to be a pretty
touchy system, so if you keep getting error messages,
just try again at a different time.
